Guns and violence is for cowards, good Christians, Jews and Hindus are peaceful January 16, 2011 01:28 am I fail to comprehend the love affair with guns. Does one have no empathy for the person at the receiving end of the violence. Have we in America lost our marbles? Have we become insane? Are all the violent video games finally getting to us? Is the violence on TV getting to us and we have just become too numb to all human compassion for out fellow human beings? What is happening to our country. It feels like the ultra extreme zealots have taken it over. Are we now no different than the tribal lords in Eritria, Ethiopia, Somalia and Afghanistan? This can not be right and we have to let the politicians know that guns always lead to violence and tragedy. Let us examine ourselves and our emotions again and decide whether we are going to live in the past when life and challenges were different or are we going to move forward to the future and start competing with the world at large. Let us get off the gun adiction. Time to rehab and be free from need for a gun. Comments:
There are no commentsCan the police not step out of the way of a deranged man on a wheelchair January 06, 2011 01:57 am if he is not hurting anyone. Those who got hurt because they approached the situation in a hawkish manner. Whatever happened to the 'softly softly does it' approach? No one seems to care that, sometimes those in authorities need to play for patience and let the situation calm down. Waving a gun at a deranged man is only going to aggravate the situation, create a hostile environment and then the bystanders get emotionally involved as well. That is not what we would want from our peace keepers. Patience and care of the citizens of any city is a virtue. And put that gun away, it is not a toy! Comments:
There are no commentsWhy we should never be afraid to be individuals and be different January 01, 2011 04:54 pm What if none of us did anything different. We would all walk the same, talk the same, look the same and bore the hell out of everyone! Worst of all we would live like those back in the stoneage. It is when we try out something differnt, be independent thinkers and make a choice that is right for us that we as a society move forward. We had made the banks, car manufacturers, stock brokers and others too big to fail, and remember what happened then. Of course we do. By the same logic, we should not let any social network become too powerful and too big to fail. Just think who is to blame if that happens and the information is abused. The way I see it, each one of us has the obligation to make choices wisely that suit our needs, but we should not let that blind us in to behaving that jeopardises our economic future or hold us hostage like the way the big investment banks did in 2007 and 2008! Step out and breathe the air. Step out and try something different and see our country grow by leaps and bounds. Open minded and free. imo Comments:
There are no commentsIceland is blammed for overwhaling by US, real danger of extinction of whales November 25, 2010 09:15 pm from around the web: "The United States is deeply concerned by and strongly opposed to Iceland's increasing commercial harvest of whales, in particular endangered fin whales," US Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke said in a letter to Icelandic Fishing Minister Jon Bjarnason. Some researchers believe that whales and dolphins have intelligence even above that of the ape and elephant. That would be within the lower range of human intelligence. To hunt them to extinction is a violation of universal law. Karma happens to you whether you believe it or not. Comments:
There are no commentsHealthcare, is it dead? Check life monitor... February 02, 2010 12:54 pm Ted Kennedy, wherever he may be, is probably very troubled. People of Massachusettes need to search their souls as their state has all the reforms that we seek.
Some of the voters are so short sighted. I wnader of their intelligence. I say only people with high shcool diploma and above should be able to vote and they shoud pass a election exam to be able to vote.
Just a thought.,it was the voters who elected Bush who let the national debt go through the roof.
Does everyone know and understand the meaning of responsibility? Comments:

Now all the new year's parties are behind us, new realities sets in. It is really 2012! Let me quickly make some more new year's resolutions.
added January 05, 2012 12:09 am Amazing holiday party at work today, nice to see some people have not forgotten the art of having a wild time. It was loud.
added December 20, 2011 12:57 am Make your voice heard against irresponsible drinking and driving or drinking and anything. Young people should be made to drink responsibly or lose your right.
added December 10, 2011 12:34 am It is no good getting angry. One needs to put faith in all those around us and lobby those in power. Rest is just futile, unless unless you have power too.
added November 20, 2011 01:34 am The violence in Mexico is senseless, hurting families, friends and innocent bystanders. That is hell on earth for those they leave behind.
added November 16, 2011 12:46 am A five year old asked his dad, 'when does someone become a dick dad, you call so many people that?'. Well it is simple. It is when they only think of themselves
added October 31, 2011 11:23 pm If the gun gave you a victory, but that does not mean you won the war. The prize is the reconciliation and harmony among all. Give and take.
added October 30, 2011 12:44 pm What exactly happens when you give credit where it is due? You become honest and you paddle with both hands moving forward!
added October 29, 2011 10:00 pm It is healthy to be engaged with everyone, even if it hurts you and you want to scream like a hyena!
added October 21, 2011 12:00 am Take a long walk, preferably somewhere away from your home or work. Then think about your life and what you want to achieve, plus how we can be fair to everyone
added September 23, 2011 12:47 am If you are re-modelling your home, do not paint the natural brickwork and stonework. Only the idiots at Curb Appeal on HGTV does that.
added August 21, 2011 10:18 am I took a long walk on the beach, nothing else even comes close to the exhilaration as that! Share and feel the gift of the world that is yours and mine!
added August 13, 2011 08:29 pm I think those on the right need to calm down, those on the left calm down. When capital is sucked up by a few, then there are problems. Bottom line!
added August 11, 2011 01:32 am I say an ealier Harrier Potter moive, man Radcliff looks like a child. How did we ever find these movies so credible.?
added July 24, 2011 03:28 am "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" marked the end of the book series that was 12 years in the making.
added July 16, 2011 02:32 am I find some of the new smart phones a little too big at 4+ inches. iPhone is still the ultimate right size.
added July 09, 2011 01:17 am Out of state students should not take away college places for local students. That is the shame that UC schools are depriving students of studying at home state
added April 25, 2011 12:46 am Kind of bummed that AT&T are buying out TMobile. Why would TMobile want to do such a thing no matter what the price is.
added March 28, 2011 01:51 am Really happy with my Samsung Android phone. It has saved the day for me several times, with easy web access and GPS navigation.
added February 26, 2011 12:37 am What ever happened to Keith Olbermann. Leaving a job in huff and puff never makes sense. Takes years to mend fenses. Sometimes you have no choice with jerks!
added February 07, 2011 01:37 am Keith Olbermann has parted ways with MSNBC after eight years, but I wander why. Is it because of the Comcast acquisition of NBC? His political doanation hoopla?
added January 22, 2011 12:26 am California will come back with Jerry Brown now beating the crap out of money wasters. Go Jerry go!
added January 11, 2011 02:55 pm Perhaps we should disengage completely from the mid-east and concentrate on what is happening on south of the border. Small towns there are being abandoned!!
added December 30, 2010 02:44 am May be, just may be...I think President Barack Obama has pulled a hat trick with the tax break. He appears more invincible. What a genius!
added December 19, 2010 02:16 am Continued tax break for the wealthy is similar to highway robery and supported by one track minded those on the right.
added December 04, 2010 03:22 pm There were some good deals at the malls this weekend. Bought myself a 24" TV at a great price.
added November 27, 2010 12:19 am It would be very arrogant to think that life exists only on earth. So I am not very surpirsed at the discovery of earth like planet 120 trillion miles away.
added September 30, 2010 07:36 am Who on earth would pay $1.2M for a $1 coin minted in 1794?
added August 11, 2010 12:15 am Why do we Americans need to work harder for less purchasing power than most industrialized countries. Long hours and lesser vacation, time for better pay.
